Fighting for Makeup Sex

I by no means have the perfect marriage, but my husband and I have mastered the art of fighting.

I have read multiple articles about fighting in marriage and how it is good healthy even. Mostly I read them to feel better about myself, but I noticed all the articles I read had a common thread.

Do not Rehash the Past

My husband and I created this rule in the beginning of our marriage that if we were having a fight that we wanted to end, we could call it during the fight. Meaning if I was fighting with him about leaving his socks on the floor he could say this is it. So the next time we were fighting, I couldn’t say “well you leave your socks on the floor.”

Nope, that fight was done, and we had moved on.

While it might sound crazy, it has kept us from having the same fights over and over again. Now, we get to fight about new things each time to help keep the spark of romance alive.

Or we fight for makeup sex.
